Overview

A quadratic function has the form f(x) = ax² + bx + c. Its graph is a U-shape called a parabola.

Key Ideas

The vertex is the highest or lowest point of the parabola. The roots (or zeros) are where the parabola crosses the x-axis — solutions to ax² + bx + c = 0.
